Zoya Onufriychuk, 89, of Syracuse, passed away Friday at home. Born in Ukraine, she immigrated to the United States in 2002. Zoya truly enjoyed cooking and baking. She loved seeing all her children together. She cherished her family and dedicated her life to them.
Zoya was predeceased by her husband, Illya; two infant children; parents, Mykola and Yelena Yakymchuk; and brother, Illya Yakymchuk.
Surviving are her children, Vasyl (Olga), Mariia (Theo) Bosovyk, Olga (Michail) Kupchak, Ivan (Tatyana), Nicolas (Galina), Stephan (Natalya), Paul (Angela), Yelena (Ivan) Garkot, and Larisa (George) Chuvik; sister, Yelena (Dima) Yeremiy; 29 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one niece.
Services for Zoya will be Tuesday, January 31 at 7 p.m. and Wednesday, February 1 at 10 a.m. in Herald of Joy Evangelical Church, 3994 Split Rock Rd., Camillus.
Zoya will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
