Zelda Klaczko, 83, of Camillus, passed away peacefully at The Commons on St. Anthony in Auburn on December 14, 2018. Zelda wore many "hats" during her lifetime. She loved being a mother. She was a girl scout leader, Avon lady, hospital volunteer in the playroom at Upstate Children's Cancer Center, cake decorator for Wegmans, manager of Elm Hill restaurant and the "ice cream lady" at Silverbrook Dairy. Zelda belonged to The Legion of Mary, the Altar and Rosary Society and prepared dinners for the priests along with many other duties at St. Joseph's Church. She loved having "fun" at casinos and cherished her summers in Chaumont Bay.
Zelda was predeceased by her parents, Geraldine and William Wademan; husband, Michael; son, Douglas; and brother, Robert.
Surviving are her children, Kathleen (William) DeNottia, Karen House, Kimberlea (Tim Cool) Klaczko, David (Mary Kott), Daniel (Wenda) and Donald (Anne); daughter-in-law, Marie; brother, William (Sue) Wademan; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and her dearly loved friend, Sue.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday, December 17 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, Camillus. Burial will be held at a later date.
