Winifred Amy Bowman, 98, of Solvay, passed away Friday at Loretto after a long and fulfilling life. She was born in Plymouth and resided many years in Syracuse. Winifred graduated from Norwich High School in 1941 and Morrisville College in 1943. She enjoyed traveling, doing puzzles, and she just loved her cats. Winifred was known by all to be a very kind and sweet lady.
She was predeceased by her first husband, William Covell; second husband, Arthur Bowman; daughter, Lynne Covell and sister, Marion Wright.
Surviving are her son, Lee (Christene) Covell; daughter, Larine (Russell) Davis; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. A celebration of Winifred’s life will be held at a later date.
