William S. Kaleta, 94, of Camillus, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Loretto. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse and Camillus areas, he was a Navy veteran of WWII and served proudly on the USS Riddle. William retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a communicant of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
William was predeceased by his wife, Charlotte, in 2009.
Surviving are his sons, William (Nancy) of Camillus and Joseph (Marilyn) of Baldwinsville; grandchildren, Christine (Michael) Buss of Syracuse, William (Jennifer) Kaleta of Virginia and Andrew and Katharine Kaleta of Baldwinsville; great-grandson, Beckham; brother-in-law, Dan Kotyra; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the 13th floor staff at Loretto for their loving care given to William.
Relatives and friends may call Saturday, June 1 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
Services will follow at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. William will be laid to rest in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
