William V. “Bill” White, 68, of DeWitt, passed away Friday, January 25, 2013 at Crouse Hospital. Born in Richton, Mississippi on Wednesday, January 17, 1945, he spent his childhood in Rochester. He lived in the Syracuse area most of his life. Bill was a maintenance supervisor for Springfield Garden Apartments for 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Mary Lee (Malone) and William Buddy White. Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Debbie “Honey”; children, William L. and Andrea White of Syracuse, Ann Marie and John Marcello of Rochester, Dessa L. and Dave White of Portland, Maine, Tiffany M. Savery of Syracuse, Nicholas L. White of Freeport, Maine, Mary Jane Catalfino of Syracuse, Mastho L. Davis of Florida, Philip Drumm and Jeffrey Drumm, both of Rochester; sisters, Ruby Culver and Doreen Wade, both of Rochester, and Virginia Mayo of Richton, Mississippi; brother, John White of Rochester; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one uncle; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and dogs, Butter, Biscuit, Beethoven and Bear. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, January 29 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral service will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 30 in St. Joseph's Church. William will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery.
