William John Zaika

William John Zaika, 93, of Syracuse, passed away Monday, January 6, 2020. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he was a graduate of Solvay High School. William was employed with the United State Postal Service for 33 years before retiring in 1989. He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years, the former Jennie Styrzo; daughters, Barbara (Michael) Virgil and Judy (Bruce) Ames; son, William (Rosanne) Zaika; grandchildren, Bill, Chrissy, Danny, Colleen, Walter and Jeremy; and great-granddaughters, Briella and Natalie.

Relatives and friends may call Thursday, January 9 from 4 to 7 p.m. at SS. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, 401 Hamilton St., Syracuse.

Services will be Friday, January 10 at 10:30 a.m. in the church. William will be laid to rest in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to ones favorite charity.
