Wayne Norman Johnson

Wayne N. Johnson, 87, of Camillus, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018 at The Centers at St. Camillus. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, he was a graduate of Solvay High School and CCBI. Wayne served in the National Guard. He owned Johnson Insurance Co. on Milton Avenue in Solvay for over 40 years before retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Solvay-Geddes Lions Club and loved spending time with family.
Wayne was predeceased by his wife, Sally (Church) Johnson; and brothers, Howard, George and Stuart.
Surviving are his wife of 28 years, the former Judith Bell; daughter, Mary Ellen; sons, David, Donald, Daniel, Paul, Michael, Mark, Peter and Steven; sister, Mildred Jones; a multitude of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Jeffrey and Aaron Perry and Bethany Salvagno; and many nieces and nephews.
Per Wayne’s wishes, there will be no services.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to WAVES, P.O. Box 156, Camillus, NY 13031.
