Vivian M. Ewing

Vivian M. Ewing, 94, of Westvale, passed away Sunday at Upstate University Hospital. Born and raised in Hillsdale, NJ, she lived in Central New York before moving to Clearwater, FL, and settled in Central New York. Vivian was employed as an administrative assistant for the city of Clearwater for several years. A member of Fairmount Community Church United Church of Christ, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Vivian was predeceased by her husband, Scott in 2015; daughter, Lynn Pollio in 2019; and parents, Donald and Beatrice.

Surviving are her son, James (Karen) Dygert of Syracuse; daughter, Debra (Robert) Shirey of Little Rock, AR; stepchildren, Katherine (Tom DiPrete) Ewing of Long Island, Sally (Dalip Goankar) Ewing of Evanston, IL, and Andrew (Shariann) Ewing Of Westborough, MA; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara (Bill) Ginney of Florida and Carol (Robert) Rosetta of Sherrill; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There will be no calling hours.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, October 26, at 10 a.m. in Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

Vivian will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse.
