Vito Marinelli, 82, of Camillus, passed away Monday, May 20, 2019 at Upstate University Hospital at Community Campus. Born in Auburn, he was a lifetime resident of the Camillus area.
Vito was employed for 31 years with Chrysler Corp., retiring in 1993. A communicant of St. Joseph’s Church, he also enjoyed golf but above all, loved spending time with his family.
Vito was predeceased by his wife, Beverly, in 1991; sisters, Lucy Marinelli and Rosemarie VanOrder; brother, Frank; and grandson, Johnny Marinelli.
Surviving are his sons, Vito A. of Camillus, John (Kathy) of Warners, David (Charity) of Clay, MI; and Frank (Jennifer) of Baldwinsville; brother, Joseph (Carolyn) of Auburn; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Sarah, Anthony, Vito J., Isabella, Gregory and Beverly; great-grandchildren, Rachel and Lucy; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday, May 23 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, May 24 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church. Vito will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
