Virginia "Ginnie" Scuderi

Virginia “Ginnie” Scuderi, 92, of Camillus, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017 at home. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she was a graduate of St. John the Baptist and a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. During her early years, Ginnie enjoyed traveling with Carmen to various places around the world. In the last few years, she enjoyed having Sunday dinner with her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Ginnie’s caregivers for their loving care and compassion given to her over the past several weeks.

Ginnie was predeceased by her husband, Carmen Scuderi, in 2003; and brother, Albert Malone.

Surviving are her daughter, Mary (Tom) Hughes of Camillus; son, Joseph (Donna) Scuderi of Onondaga Hill; grandchildren, Thomas (Montessa), David, Evan and Kelly Hughes, Jesse (Erin) Scuderi, Dena (Jason) Graham and Jeremy (Sarah) Scuderi; great-grandchildren, Caderyn Hughes, Dennis and Mya Scuderi and Emmett and Josephine Graham; loving nephew, Mark (Kathy) Malone; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Monday, November 20 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, November 21 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 5600 West Genesee St., Camillus. Virginia will be laid to rest in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse.
