Virginia Foote Bluto, 84, of Camillus, died Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at St. Camillus Health & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Burlington, Vermont on Sunday, July 16, 1922, she was the daughter of Charles Philo Foote and Mae Murray Foote. She was raised in Charlotte, Vermont and lived in Camillus since 1956. Virginia Iggy was a graduate of the Northfield Seminary for Girls in Mount Hermon, Mass. and Vermont Junior College. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. Virginia Iggy loved all things, New England . She may have left the farm, but the farm never left her. Iggy loved her family and friends. She was also fond of animals, especially horses, craftwork, especially cross stitch, and cooking. She enjoyed the ocean, especially Sanibel, and was a little bit of a sports fanatic. Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Dr. Eugene J. Bluto; sons and daughters-in-law, Charles E. (Cynthia Jorgenson) of Narragansett, Rhode Island; Jeffrey M. of Camillus and Stephen J. (Suzette) of Forrest Hills; daughter and son-in-law, Jocelyn M. (Bill Hatfield) Bluto of Warwick, Rhode Island; grandchildren, Catherine V. Bluto and Charlene M. Bluto, both of Syracuse, and Nicholas P. Bluto and Alexandra M. Bluto, both of Forrest Hills. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2007 at St. Joseph's Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Michael Galuppi. Friends may call Friday, July 13, 2007 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
