Vincent “Vince” Lawrence, 94, of Camillus, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2019 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Halcott Center, he was a 1947 graduate of Kingston High School and 1949 graduate of Broome Community College. Vince was a veteran of the Navy and Marine Corps. Employed by Allied Chemical Corp. for more than 35 years, he retired in 1984. He was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church and their choir. Vince also volunteered at Community General Hospital for more than 20 years and was on the Camillus Planning Board and Fifth Ward councilman.
Vince was predeceased by his brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Judy Lawrence.
Surviving are his wife of 68 years, the former June Winchell; daughter, Debra (David Allen) Lawrence of Syracuse; son, David (Lanice) Lawrence of Champions Gate, FL; sister, Reta Roth of Kingston; grandchildren, Emily and Griffin Lawrence; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at PACE of CNY for their excellent care of Vince, especially Tasha Epps.

A memorial service will be Saturday, November 16 at 11 a.m. at Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
