Ursula K. Venier

May 23, 1934 — December 23, 2020

Ursula K. Venier, 86, of Lafayette, passed away Wednesday at Crouse Hospital. Born and raised in Wennigsen, Germany, Ursula came to the United States in 1954, proudly becoming an American citizen. She attended Lafayette Alliance Church and was an avid donor to Teen Challenge. Described by all who knew her as a force of nature, Ursula’s energy and vibrance shined bright to everyone around her. Ursula loved gardening, travel and spending time on her farm. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Ursula was predeceased by her husband, Henry C. Venier.

Surviving are her daughters, Annette (Thomas) Gannon of Massapequa Park and Linda Baker of Pompano Beach, FL; son, Paul Aydinian of Lafayette; grandchildren, Christopher, Tara and Daniel Gannon, Zachary, Ethan and Stephen Baker; great-grandchildren, Petra and Maya Gannon; her first husband John Aydinian; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no services at this time and a celebration of Ursula’s life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Teen Challenge, 124 Furman St., Syracuse, New York 13205 or to New Hope Family Services, 3519 James St., Syracuse, New York 13206.
