Thomas S. McLaughlin, 91, of Camillus, passed away Friday at Menorah Park. He graduated from Central High School and earned a bachelor's degree from Syracuse University where he was a member of the football team. Thomas was an Air Force veteran and served in the Korean War.
He was employed with Chrysler Corp. for 37 years. His tenure included Quality Control Manager in Indianapolis, IN, Toledo, OH, and Syracuse.
After retiring in 1987, he was co-administrator of the UAW-Chrysler Region 9 Training Center. Thomas was a communicant of Holy Family Church and maintained his many friendships through his social and service groups which included the Solvay Lunch Group, Skaneateles Lunch Group, Syracuse University Football Club, and the American Legion. He enjoyed spending time with his family, the outdoors, music, and dancing.
Thomas was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Genevieve McLaughlin and his brother, Robert.
Surviving are his wife of 69 years, Betty; daughters, Pamela (Robert Sollish) McLaughlin, of Syracuse and Elizabeth McLaughlin of Camillus; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be private. Thomas will be laid to rest in St. Agnes Cemetery, Syracuse.
