Thomas L. Wescott, 52, of Syracuse, passed away Monday, January 4, 2010. Born in Syracuse on Sunday, March 24, 1957, he was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area. He was a graduate of the Rome School of the Deaf. Tom was employed by Penn Traffic for 13 years. He was a member of the NYS Teamsters Union 317 and enjoyed sports, especially bowling. Tom was predeceased by his parents, Ernest Francis Wescott (August 8, 2007) and June Delight Francisco Wescott (December 26, 2008); and brothers, Wayne and Charles Wescott. Surviving are his wife of 13 years, the former Christina Springer; daughter, Amanda Lipford; sons, Christopher Jhanke and Thomas Wescott; step children, Virgil, Becky, Jonah and Stan Dombroski, Chrystal Kent and Nicky McCord; sister, Doreen Wescott; brothers, John (Wendy), Donald (Cathy), Daniel, Ronald and David (Suzanne); sisters-in-law, Violet Wescott and Valerie Brezee; many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, January 9 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus with Most Rev. John-Francis Saccone officiating.
