Thomas J. McKinney Jr.

Thomas J. McKinney Jr., 34, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at home. Born in Glens Falls, he was raised in Lake George and moved to Syracuse in 2008. A graduate of Lake George High School, Thomas earned his bachelor's degree from SUNY Plattsburgh and was employed with Onondaga Community Living. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was a member of the Spike Horn Hunting Club.

Thomas was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Anna Morris; and paternal grandfather, Robert McKinney.

Surviving are his wife of five years, the former Rita Church; mother, Debra (Edward) Collins of Lake Luzerne; father, Thomas McKinney Sr. of Lake George; sister, Anna (Bill) Chapman of Kingsland, GA; paternal grandmother, Marie McKinney; maternal grandfather, Clayton Morris; nephews, Wills and RJ Chapman; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends may call Sunday, April 2 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

Services will be Monday, April 3 at 10 a.m. in Immanuel United Methodist Church, 303 Kasson Rd., Camillus. Thomas will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery, Lake George.
