Theresa Alfieri

Theresa Alfieri, 90, of Fairmount, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at home. Born in Syracuse on Saturday, October 18, 1919, she was the daughter of Frank Squadrito and Rosa Amato Squadrito. She lived in Camillus since 1967. Theresa retired in 1980 after 30 years with Continental Can Co. A communicant of Holy Family Church, she was also a long-time member of the Camillus Senior Citizens Club where she enjoyed playing Bingo, cards and trips. Theresa was predeceased by her husband, Samuel; and 11 siblings. Surviving are her daughters and son-in-law, Carmella and Thomas Colabufo and Connie Lou Alfieri, all of Fairmount; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Beverly of Baldwinsville; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, March 29 at Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus and at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Relatives and friends may call Sunday, March 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum, Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Theresa’s memory to Hospice of CNY, 990 Seventh North St., Liverpool, NY 13088 or Masses may be offered.
