Theodore Ted G. Esterguard, 67, of Howlett Hill, went home to his Lord on Friday, May 19, 2006 with his family by his side. Born in Lynbrook on April 12, 1939, he was the son of Henry Walsh Esterguard and Callista Victoria Borczynski. He lived in Howlett Hill for 41 years and graduated from Marcellus Central in 1957. He served with the Army National Guard for eight years. Ted was employed by CNA Insurance Co. in Syracuse, retiring in 1996 after 30 years. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and boating with his family and friends. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife, Alice. He was a communicant of St. Josephs Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister. Ted was predeceased by his sisters, Callista Kirsch, who died in 2004 and Eileen Kellar, who died in 2006, and his granddaughter, Sophia G. Grabowski, who died in 2001. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, the former Alice Ann Orr; daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and Mike Grabowski of Auburn, Alisa and Jim Eddy of Marcellus, Lynda and Duane Smith of Marcellus, Therese and Rick Belvito of Howlett Hill and Christina and Brian Fagan of Cicero; brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas (Margaret) Esterguard of Marcellus and Paul (Janet) Esterguard of Nedrow; brothers-in-law, Richard Kirsch of Rochester and Roy (Ann) Orr of Marcellus; sister-in-law, Jean (Herb) McKeen of Syracuse; mother-in-law, Mary Morgan of Syracuse; 15 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. His constant companion was his beloved terrier, Holly. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Friends may call Monday, May 22, 2006 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
