Theodore G. “Ted” Kiteveles, 85, of Camillus, passed away Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Health Hospital. Born in Elbridge, he was raised in Warners before moving to the Camillus area in 1979. A graduate of West Genesee High School, Ted became a police officer and retired from the Camillus Police Dept. with 36 years of service. An avid book reader and history buff, he loved to fish, hunt, camp and travel. He was a past member of the Camillus Elks Lodge #2367 and Baldwinsville Moose Lodge.
Ted was predeceased by his parents, Angelo and Gertrude Kiteveles; and sister, Diane Osier.
Surviving are his wife of 41 years, the former Diane Martin; children, Cathy (Joe) Clark, Ted (Linda) Kiteveles Jr., Jason (Erika) Kiteveles, Crystal Kiteveles, and Chad (Regina Carter) Kiteveles; seven grandchildren; brother, Dennis Kiteveles; brother-in-law, Gregg (Sandy) Martin; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday, December 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m.
Ted will be laid to rest in Maplewood Cemetery, Camillus.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 45 Ash St., East Hartford, CT 06108.
