Thelma J. Fitch, 84, of Camillus, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Francis House. A lifetime resident of Central New York, she was a graduate of Syracuse University and member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Thelma retired in 1994 after more than 20 years as a medical librarian. Her last position was with Morristown Memorial Hospital. She also helped establish the library at Elmwood Elementary School.
Thelma was predeceased by her husband, Robert, in 2001; and brother, Richard Johnson, in 2016.
Surviving are her daughters, Kitty Fitch of Camillus and Laurel (Robert) Flynn of DeWitt; sister, Eileen (John) Turner of Otisco; brothers, Earl (Teresa) Johnson of New Woodstock and Allen Johnson of Cardiff; grandchildren, Patricia Falk and Gregory Flynn; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, June 22 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
Services will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
