Teresina "Teresa" Martilotta, 81, of Camillus, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospital Heath Center. Born in Gruardia Pimondese, Italy, she became a US citizen and moved to the Syracuse and Camillus areas in 1958. Teresina owned Teresa's Alterations and worked as a professional seamstress for most of her life. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. Teresa was an avid gardener and enjoyed cooking, but her loving family always came first.
Teresa was predeceased by her previous husband, Gildo Martilotta, in 2008; and parents, Livio and Rosa Salomone.
Surviving are her sons, Steven and David, both of Camillus; sister, Olga Lewis of North Syracuse; brothers, Tulio (Nella) Salomone of North Syracuse and Italo (Hilda) Salomone of Cicero; granddaughter, Julia Martilotta; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, March 28 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, March 29 at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church. Teresa will be laid to rest in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse.
