Teresa (LaManche) Sullivan, 63, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Wednesday at home, just minutes before her beloved mother, Mary Alice LaManche, passed away. Their closely timed passing reflects the profound and inseparable bond they shared.
Born in Syracuse and residing in the area throughout her life, Teresa graduated from Marcellus High School and earned her bachelor's degree from Le Moyne College. For over four decades, she dedicated her career to serving those in need as a Director of Operations at Toomey Residential and Community Services. Teresa’s commitment and compassion touched the lives of countless individuals and families over the years. A devoted communicant of the Church of St. Michael & St. Peter, she found solace and community in her faith. Teresa found joy in the simple things, from tending to her beloved gardens to relaxing and taking in a tennis match or a Hallmark Christmas movie on TV. But, above all, she treasured the time she spent surrounded by her loving family, especially her grandchildren whom she adored.
Teresa was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary LaManche; brother, John LaManche; in-laws, Paul and Peg Sullivan; brothers-in-law, Joseph Fletcher and Michael Sullivan; and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Sullivan.
Surviving are her husband of 41 years, Matthew; sons, James (Chelsea) of Webster and Joe (Jenna) of Baldwinsville; grandchildren, Sophia, Logan, Connell, Michael, and Emily Sullivan; sisters, Mary Pat Fletcher, Martha (Greg) Sniffen, and Anne (Kevin) DeLand, all of Howlett Hill; in-laws, Barbara Sullivan, Mark Sullivan, Robert Musella, and Barb Sullivan; and many nieces and nephews.
Teresa’s family would like to thank Dr. Tarek Sousou and the team at HOA of CNY for their years of dedicated support and care.
There will be no calling hours.
To honor Teresa’s and Mary Alice’s lives, a funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. in The Church of St. Michael & St. Peter, 4781 W. Seneca Tpke., Syracuse.
