Teresa (Moore) Sullivan

Teresa (Moore) Sullivan, 82, of Westvale, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Syracuse Home Association. Born in Brutus on Saturday, August 6, 1927, she was the daughter of Michael Moore and Mary Haney Moore. She was raised in Jordan until moving to the Ludden Club in Syracuse. Teresa married Dr. John J. Sullivan, DDS July 5, 1958 and lived in Camillus until moving to Westvale in 1967. She retired after 10 years with Burnett Park Zoo and was formerly employed by Upstate Loan Company. A communicant of Holy Family Church and a former communicant of St. Charles Borromeo Church, Teresa was a member of their Altar & Rosary Societies. She was also a Girl Scout leader. Teresa was predeceased by her husband, Dr. John J. Sullivan, DDS, in 1983; brothers, William Murphy and Michael and James Moore; and sisters, Helen Suits, Kathryn Roberts and Margaret Kendall. Surviving are her sons and daughter-in-law, Philip L. and Mary of Cicero, Timothy H. of Camillus, Daniel J. and John J. (partner, Pamela M. Ormsby), all of Saranac Lake; daughters and sons-in-law, Anne M. and Raymond A. Galgano Sr. of Leonardtown, Maryland, Kathleen M. Glahn of Camillus and Elizabeth T. and James W. Bevilacqua of Saranac Lake; sister, Anna Lawler of Baldwinsville; brother and sister-in-law, John and Carol Moore of Jordan; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Philip, Annalea, Grace and Katherine Sullivan, Tracy Fadusky, Kelly McNamara, Raymond, Jarrod and Cody Galgano, Christopher and Stephen Glahn, Carl, Natalina and Emmett Bevilacqua; great-grandchildren, Devin Sullivan and Jacob Fadusky; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Sunday, June 20 from noon to 3 p.m. at Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, June 21 at the funeral home and at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Teresa will be laid to rest in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Saranac Lake at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse, NY 13219.
