Ted W. Taylor, 59, of Marietta, passed away unexpectedly Monday. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, Ted graduated from West Genesee High School. He was a steamfitter, employed with the UA Local 81 (formerly 267) Plumbers & Steamfitters Union for over 30 years. Ted was a member of Faith Chapel and the Nedrow Sportsmen's Club. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, animals, gardening, nature, boating, camping and the ocean. Above all, Ted loved spending time with his family.
Ted was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Hilda Taylor.
Surviving are his loving wife of 38 years, the former Sandy Harfmann; daughters, Shannon (Chris) Ryan of Marcellus and Amber (Tom Smorol) Taylor of Syracuse; son, Wayne (Katrina) of Dallas, TX; grandson, Charlie; brother, James (Sharon) of Rome City, IN; several nieces and nephews; and five grand-dogs and one grand-cat.
Relatives and friends may call Monday, December 28 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Face coverings are required.
A memorial service will be celebrated Tuesday, December 29 at 11 a.m. in Faith Chapel, 4113 W. Seneca Turnpike, Syracuse. Burial will be private.
