Stanley F. Saya, 88, of Howlett Hill, died Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at Iroquois Nursing Home. Born in Geddes on Thursday, May 29, 1919, he was the son of Dominick Saya and Thelma Stasiak Saya. He grew up in Cato before building the family home on Beef St. Stanley was an Army veteran of World War II. He was employed for 30 years with New Process Gear, retiring in 1976. His wife, the former Jane Beare, whom he had met at New Process Gear, died September 7 2006. Stanley enjoyed gardening, was an avid newspaper reader and was also a great handyman. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and John Parker of Liverpool; sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Nancy Saya of Manlius and Stanley and Lola Saya of Wappingers Falls; grandchildren, Beth Burlingame of Seattle, Washington, Mark and Sara Burlingame of Poughkeepsie, Kathryn and Michael Saya, both of Manlius, Scott and Christopher Saya, both of Wappingers Falls; great-grandson, Mark Burlingame and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2008 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Friends may call preceding the funeral from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
