Spiro Taskovski, 76, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at University Hospital. Born in Bistrica, Macedonia on Thursday, July 25, 1935, he was the son of Todor and Neda Taskovski. He came to the United States in 1998. Spiro was a retired plumber and also worked at St. Camillus Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was a member of St. George's Macedonian Orthodox Church. An avid fisherman, he enjoyed the outdoors. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, the former Paraskeva Stojanova; daughter and son-in-law, Neda and Peter Spasevski of Syracuse; son and daughter-in-law, Ljupco and Diane Taskovski of Clay; sister, Luba Mircevska of Macedonia; and grandchildren, Robert, Chris, Alexandra, Stephen and Stephanie. Relatives and friends may call Friday, February 24 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus with Trisagion prayer service at 6 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 25 at 9 a.m. at the funeral home and 10 a.m. in St. George's Macedonian Orthodox Church. Spiro will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse.
