Sondra Sandy Ione Buckhout, 70, of Camillus, died Monday, October 2, 2006 at home surrounded by family and friends. Born in Syracuse on Sunday, November 10, 1935, she was the daughter of Everett James Beach and Minnie Mae Belcher. She lived in Camillus since 1976. Sandy was a graduate of Central High School and attended Onondaga Community College for psychology. She was formerly employed by GE, Hall-McChesney and Bellevue Manor. Actively involved with the Solvay-Geddes Kiwanis Club, she was also former vice-president and past First Lady of the Ontario Division Kiwanis. Sandy was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Order of the Eastern Star. She attended Christ Community Church. She collected lighthouses and enjoyed flowers. Sandy's husband, Stanley Earle Buckhout, Sr., died December 9, 1993. Surviving are her daughter, Debra E. Buckhout of Camillus; son and daughter-in-law, Stanley "Bud" and Nicole Buckhout, Jr. of Fairmount; brother and sister-in-law, James and Dawn Beach of Endwell; five grandchildren and one due in December and several nieces and nephews. Pastor Donald E. Lain will officiate at a memorial service on Saturday, October 7, 2006 at 10 a.m. at Christ Community Church, 3664 Warners Rd., Camillus. Friends may call Thursday, October 5, 2006 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt.
