Shirley Ann Kole, of Syracuse, passed away Friday, at St. Camillus Nursing & Rehabilitation. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she was a graduate of Central High School. Formerly employed by Fairway restaurant in Camillus, she retired in 1995 after more than 30 years in the hospitality field. A very religious woman, Shirley was a communicant of Holy Family Church, actively involved with many different church activities, and spent many hours praying for family, friends, and those in need. Her interests included reading, camping and being on the water. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
Shirley was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Edward J.; son, Greg; parents, William and Mary Martin and brother, William Martin.
Surviving are her daughter, Christine of Camillus; sons, Glen (Mary Ann) of Camillus and Gary of Westvale; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse. Shirley will be laid to rest in the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
