Shirley Jean "Jocko" Dreis Ellithorpe

Shirley Jean Jocko Dreis Ellithorpe, 76, of Camillus, died peacefully Thursday, January 10, 2008 at Van Duyn Home & Hospital. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, on Monday, November 30 1931, she was the daughter of Clarence Dreis and Frances Hurley Dreis. She was a lifetime resident of the Camillus, Fairmount area and a graduate of Central Tech High School. Jean was predeceased by her husband, William, in 2003; and brother, Donald Dreis, in 1996. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, David B. of North Syracuse, Darryl O. and Diane of Rochester, Daniel M. of North Syracuse, and Douglas W. and Patricia of Syracuse; sister-in-law, Rose Dreis of Eastwood; grandchildren, Shannon, Jessica, Jolene, Leah, Travis, Daniel and Suzanne; great-grandchildren, Isabella, Jamison, Rylee, and Amari; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be private. Entombment will be in Valley Mausoleum, Onondaga Valley Cemetery, Nedrow, New York. Arrangements are by the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Attn: Memorial/Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
