Shirley H. Perkins, 87, of Fairmount, passed away peacefully April 2, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. A devoted wife and mother, she was born and raised in Skaneateles Falls and resided in Fairmount for 60 years. Shirley was a graduate of Skaneateles High School. After raising her family, she went back to work at Syracuse Merchandisers until the time came that her husband needed care. A communicant of Holy Family Church, she was a member of its Altar & Rosary Society and volunteered with a number of other church groups. Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Monroe G. Perkins. Surviving are her two sons, James (Jennifer) Perkins of Pewaukee, WI and Robert (Coreen) Perkins of Elbridge; grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Allison, Daniel and Jenny; great-grandchildren, Nolan and Juliana; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Monday, April 4 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, April 5 at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church. Shirley will be laid to rest in St. Mary's of the Lake Cemetery, Skaneateles.
