Shirley E. Trombetta, 84, of Rochester, passed away Monday, November 23, 2009 at Kirkhaven Nursing Home. Born on Sunday, April 12, 1925, she was the daughter of Henry LeRoy Miller and Ethel Knobles Miller. She lived in Blossvale for 15 years before moving back to Rochester in 2004. Shirley was employed with Strong Memorial Hospital as a medical secretary. Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Richard, in 1997. Surviving are her daughter, Wendy (Lawrence) Hess of Brewerton; sister, Gay Liotta of Rochester; grandsons, Nathan Abel of Syracuse and Jarrod (Katrina) Abel of Gloversville; sister-in-law, Bernardene Trombetta of Rochester; niece, Jamie (Bruce) White of Sarasota, FL; nephews, Danne (Ursula) Liotta, Joseph (Linda) Foster and Steven (Mary Alice) Liotta; and great-nephews, Steven and Marc Liotta, all of Rochester; and close friend, Susan Mattice, also of Rochester. Services will be private. Inurnment will be in White Haven Memorial Park, Pittsford. Arrangements are by Buranich Funeral Home, Camillus.
