Sharon E. Kearns

March 11, 1942 — September 11, 2017

Sharon E. Kearns, 75, of Camillus, passed away Monday, September 11, 2017 at Loretto. Born in Buffalo, she was a lifetime resident of the Central New York area and a 1960 graduate of West Genesee High School.

Sharon retired in 1997 after 25 years with GTE Products Corp. She was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church and served as the church’s financial secretary. She was very active in a variety of other activities including volunteering with Community General Hospital.

Sharon will be remembered by many friends for her love of Elvis and her dedication to the "Guiding Light" fan club. She also enjoyed reading but above all, loved spending time with her family.

Sharon was predeceased by her parents, Allen and Alice Johnson.

Surviving are her son, James (Andrea) Kearns; and sister, Judith (Ron) Dippolito, both of Syracuse; grandchildren, Alec (Michelle), Madison and Nikolas Kearns; and great-grandson, Remy.

Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, September 13 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

Services will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Sharon's name to the Alzheimer's Assn. of CNY, 441 W. Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13204.
