Sean Joyce, 49, of Westvale, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. He was a proud graduate of Bishop Ludden High School and Rochester Institute of Technology. Sean was a dedicated worker at OCM Boces for 17 years as manager of central services as well as an usher for SU Football and Basketball games. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed golf, baseball and basketball.
Sean was devoted to his friends and family, especially his children, Marisa and Ryan. He could always be found supporting his kids, whether it was attending numerous dance recitals, tennis matches, baseball, softball or basketball games. Sean was the kindest soul who left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was usually last to leave the party, but not before last call and after sharing some useless piece of information. For those who knew Sean, he was a unique combination of goofy and sweet, and that’s how he will live on in our favorite memories of him.
Sean was predeceased by his father, John, in 2017.
Surviving are his wife of 20 years, Kim; daughter, Marisa; son, Ryan; and mother, Diane.
Relatives and friends may call Sunday, March 14 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Face coverings are required.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, March 15 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, 5600 West Genesee St., Camillus. Sean will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt.
In lieu of flowers, please raise a glass to toast Sean Michael.
