Santino "Sandy" Tucci

February 27, 1941 — September 8, 2005

Santino Sandy Tucci, 64, of Baldwinsville, died Thursday, September 8, 2005 at home. Born in Warners on Thursday, February 27, 1941, he was the son of Dominick and Josephine Tucci. He lived in Warners for 25 years until moving to Baldwinsville. Sandy was employed by Sears Roebuck & Co. of Syracuse for 30 years. He was a Vietnam War veteran. Sandy was a member of the Eckankar Clergy and belonged to the Pathfinders Rod & Gun Club of Fulton. Santino taught karate for about 35 years at CNY Karate in Syracuse. He also piloted his own plane, collected knives, owned creative custom fishing rods and enjoyed racing snowmobiles. Sandywas predeceased by two brothers, Valentino Summitt and Anthony Tucci. Surviving are his wife of 20 years, the former Bonnie Llewellyn; son, Daniel; sisters, Sylvia Cutillo of Baldwinsville and Gloria Mastroleo of Mattydale; brother, Richard Tucci of Baldwinsville; uncle, Leucio Port of Fulton; stepson, David Whiting of Taunton; stepdaughter, Laurie Whiting of Camillus; seven grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus with Rev. Dan McDonald officiating. Friends may call Tuesday, September 13, 2005 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Daniel Tucci Education Fund, 21 Overbrook Lane, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
