Santa Mondo LoBello, 92, of Camillus, died Saturday, July 12, 2008 at St. Camillus Health & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Syracuse on Saturday, April 22, 1916, she lived in Camillus for 44 years and was a 1934 graduate of Vocational High School. Santa was employed by L.A. Witherill Corp. for 16 years, retiring in 1978. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and member of the Red Hat Society and Resident Council at St. Camillus. Santa was predeceased by her husband, Gus; parents, Andrea and Rosa Mondo; two sisters and five brothers. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Maureen LoBello of Camillus; daughter and son-in-law, Lorraine and Mark Ganley of Camillus; grandchildren, Christopher and Steven, both of Syracuse, Lori and Dawn, both of Solvay, and Lynn (U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Adrian Tennant, serving in Iraq) of Camillus; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Samira, Gianna Rose and Braeden; several nieces, nephews and cousins, including Msgr. Paul A. Brigandi of Syracuse; Frank Rella of Vancouver, British Columbia and extended family at St. Camillus. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 2008 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Friends may call Wednesday, July 16, 2008 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
