Sally E. (Pieterek) May

Sally E. (Pieterek) May, 72, of Geddes, passed away peacefully on Wednesday at home. A lifelong resident of the Syracuse area, she was a graduate of Onondaga Central High School and CCBI.

Sally dedicated over 30 years of service as a secretary for Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC in Syracuse, where her hard work and kindness touched many. After retiring in 2016, she found true joy in spending time with her beloved grandchildren, whom she cherished above all else.

Sally was predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Anna Pieterek; and sister, Dawn Smith.

Surviving are her husband of 53 years, John; daughters, Jennifer May and Julie Criste, both of Syracuse; beloved grandchildren, Travis, Sienna, and Lilah; and sisters, Sue Burton of Syracuse and Darlene (Sam) Garofalo of Charlotte, NC.

To celebrate Sally’s life, relatives and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

A private funeral service will be held for the family. 

Sally will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
