Sarah "Sally" Anastasia Manning, 79, of Camillus, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at St. Joseph's Hospital on Friday, July 4. Born in Pittsfield, Mass. to the late Walter and Marion Reagan, she received her undergraduate degree from the University of Vermont and her master's degree in education from North Adams State College. She previously taught kindergarten before devoting her life to raising her six children. A fan of all sports, Sally was an avid golfer at Bellevue Country Club. She also had a passion for reading, gardening, bowling, fishing, and going to lunch with all of her friends. She was friendly to everybody that she met, and her quick wit and humor were admired by everyone. Sally was predeceased by her brother, Robert Reagan; and grandson, Brian Jacob. Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Robert Manning; children, Mary (John) Milligan of Liverpool, Kathleen (Doug) Allen of Cromwell, CT, Anne Manning of Middletown, CT, Sarah (Mark) Jacob of Pittsford, NY, Sheila (Paul) Mello of Syracuse and Robert (Valerie) Manning of Helena, AL; siblings, James Reagan of St. Paul, MN, John Reagan of Pittsfield, MA and Sr. Kathleen Reagan, SSJ of Chicopee, MA; 12 grandchildren, Sarah, John and Michael Milligan, Daniel, Jeremy, Gracie and Bobby Jacob, Meghan, Anastasia and Margaret Mello, Michael and Kate Manning; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Monday, July 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 8 in St. Joseph's Church, 5600 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Sally will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
