Ryan Alisanski, 32, of Fairmount, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at University Hospital following a brief illness. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he was born on Monday, October 13, 1980 and graduated from Marcellus High School in 1999 and Rochester Institute of Technology in 2003. Ryan was employed for ten years with Marsh, Inc. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church. An avid SU basketball and Yankees fan, he also loved playing golf and spending time with his dog, Max. Ryan was predeceased by his father, Francis Alisanski. Surviving are his wife, the former Kristin Metz; mother, Marlene (Katz) Alisanski of Marcellus; sisters and brother-in-law, Susan Alisanski of Fort Myers, Florida and Erin and Dave Laurence of Virginia Beach, Virginia; brothers, Chris of Houston, Texas and Michael of San Antonio, Texas; nephew, Brian Laurence; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Relatives and friends may call Thursday, December 20 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, December 21 at the funeral home and 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated with Rev. Dennis Hayes officiating. Ryan will be laid to rest in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Marcellus. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Camillus Erie Canal Park, 5750 DeVoe Rd., Camillus, NY 13031.
