Ruth V. Dolan, 94, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at The Centers at St. Camillus. Born on March 5, 1921 in Lewiston, she spent most of her life in Buffalo moving to Syracuse much later in life. She worked at Mercy Hospital and Hens and Kelly Department Store. Ruth enjoyed taking trips with her husband, Wheel of Fortune, her grandchildren, and sitting on the radiator watching outside the window. She loved cheese on toast, and spam and scalloped potatoes. Her apple pie and green Jello salad with Velveeta were legendary. She was very handy, an expert at folding sheets and champion ironer. Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Tom; brother, Bob; sisters, Lois and Betty; and son, Tommy (Judy). Ruth is survived by her children, Lois Ann Needham, Susie Ott (Michael), Peter (Mary Beth) and Greg (Laura). She is also survived by ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Services will be held on Saturday, May 9, at 11:30 a.m. at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
