Ruth Elaine Clos

Ruth Elaine Clos, 70, formerly of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Scranton Regional Hospital in Scranton, PA. Born and raised in Syracuse, she lived in Pittston, PA since 2009. Ruth was a 1962 graduate of St. Joseph's School of Nursing. She worked over 40 years at various places including Temple-Inland, Inc., Crouse Hinds, and Mosler Safe Co. in Ohio. She enjoyed antiquing and spending time with her family. Ruth was predeceased by a son, Robert H. Clos, on July 6. Surviving are her husband of 41 years, Robert; daughters, Cynthia Conway of Cresson, PA, Sandra (Jim) Platt of Altoona, PA, Renee Brower of Port Byron, and Patricia (Todd) Boring of Cherry Tree, PA; son, Edward (Deanna) Brower of Hanover, PA; sister, Esther Schultzkie of Syracuse; brother, Eugene Olcott of Florida; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may call Sunday, August 10 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will be Monday, August 11 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
