Russell J. Graziano Sr.

Russell J. Graziano Sr., 89, of Solvay, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2007 in the home of his loving daughters. Born in Carbondale, Pennsylvania on Friday, March 1, 1918, he was the son of Frank Graziano and Angelina Mancuso Graziano. He lived in Solvay since the 1950's. Russell was employed by GTE Sylvania in Camillus for 28 years and was owner of Solvay Plastics for 12 years. He was a communicant of St. Cecilia's Church in Solvay and member of the Holy Name Society. He was also a member of the Adirondack Hiking Club and volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Russell's wife of 52 years, the former Clementine Pettinatto, died October 26, 1997. Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Pati Hoffman Graziano, Jr. of Carol Stream, Illinois; daughter, Deborah Graziano of Camillus; adopted daughter, Jody Clukey of Camillus; grandson, Nicholas Graziano of Barrington, Illinois; granddaughter, Lindsey Korbel of Chicago, Illinois; nieces, Mary Clem Phillips and Carolyn Gebhardt, both of Syracuse, Grace Verga of New Jersey and Angela Egan of Pennsylvania; nephews, Richard Bartlotti and Frank Bartlotti, both of New Jersey and Frank Graziano of Pennsylvania. Services will be at 8:45 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2007 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Cecilia's Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Friends may call Friday, December 28, 2007 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum, St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart/Stroke Association, P.O. Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220.
