Rosemary Slagel, 79, of Syracuse, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017 at home. Born and raised in Utica, she was a graduate of Proctor High School and moved to Syracuse in 1974.
Rosemary was a communicant of The Church of St. Michael & St. Peter. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, gardening and reading but above all, loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Rosemary was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Pavia; sister, Sandra Jalonack; and son-in-law, Randal Lundblad.
Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Martin; daughters, Sharon (Gregory) DeCirce, Susan Lundblad and Michelle (Timothy) Walsh; brother, Robert Pavia; sister, June Pavia; grandchildren, Trevor and Laura Lundblad, Michael, Gregory and Nicholas DeCirce, Sara and Shane Walsh; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Sunday, April 30 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, May 1 at 10 a.m. in The Church of St. Michael & St. Peter. Rosemary will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
