Rosemary Hennessy, 87, of Camillus, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2014 at home. She also wintered in New Smyrna Beach, FL for 28 years. Rosemary was a communicant of both St. Joseph's Church in Camillus and Our Lady Star of the Sea in New Smyrna Beach where she was also a Eucharistic minister, sacristan and member of the funeral guild. She was active with activities at CBA, Bishop Ludden, Literacy Volunteers and Family Life Center. Among her many hobbies, she enjoyed tennis, golf, swimming, music and painting. Rosemary was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Katherine Esper. Surviving are her loving husband of 67 years, John F. Hennessy; one daughter, Dr. Marybeth (Jeffrey) Carlberg of Skaneateles; six sons, John (Barbara) Hennessy of Rochester, Robert (Anita) Hennessy of Barrington, RI, Thomas (Desiree) Hennessy of Auburn, CA, Martin Hennessy of Deerfield Beach, FL, Steven (Tamila) Hennessy of Satellite Beach, FL and Michael (Kathy) Hennessy of Rockville, MD; two sisters, Grace (George) Supple of Rochester and Carol (Jack) Flick of Danvers, MA; one brother, Dr. John (Joan) Esper of Gloversville; 18 precious grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Friday, December 5 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 6 at St. Joseph's Church. Rosemary will be laid to rest in Onondaga Valley Cemetery, Syracuse.
