Rosemarie M. Bertran, LCSW, 83, of Syracuse, passed away Sunday at Loretto. Born in New York City, she was a graduate of Drew University and Syracuse University. Rosemarie was a librarian for over 20 years and worked in New York, Wisconsin and Maryland. She then worked for the Syracuse Developmental Center before retiring in 1989 from Onondaga County Dept. of Mental Health.
A communicant of All Saints Church, she was a member of its Peace Council and she also enjoyed gardening and the theatre. Rosemarie was predeceased by her mother, Vivenne Bertran; and sister, Valentine Bertran.
Surviving are her daughter, Alexandra Bertran of Boston, MA; son, Britton Bertran of Chicago, IL, a grandson; and close friends, Eileen Nutt and Michael Prell, both of Fairmount.
There will be no calling hours.
Services will be private. Rosemarie will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
