Rosalie A. Kenny, 74, of Camillus, passed away Saturday at Francis House. Born in Rochester, she was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and retired from the Onondaga County Dept. of Finance. Rosalie was a volunteer with Upstate Medical Center, former member of the Pompey Community Council and foster mother for many years. She enjoyed golf, gardening and spending time at Owasco Lake. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren as well as walking with her Home Depot walkers. Rosalie was predeceased by her husband of 32 years, John S. Kenny, on October 9, 2013. Surviving are her daughters, Jennifer (Jeff Harris) Chrysler of Lakeland, Tamara (Douglas) Dawkins of Bridgeport, Teresa Kenny of Vestal and Patricia (John Humrich) Kenny of Fairport; sons, Thomas (Mary) Chartrand of Pompey, Craig (Penny) Chartrand of LaFayette, John (Jamie) Kenny of North Syracuse and Michael (Dana Jeschke) Kenny of Syracuse; brothers, John Nottelman of Otisco and Ralph "Butch" Nottelman of Virginia; 15 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Friday, November 22 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 23 in St. Joseph's Church. Rosalie has donated her body to Upstate Medical Center for research purposes. Burial will be at a later date in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave., Syracuse, NY 13208.
