Ronald Rosen, 77, of Baldwinsville, passed away Monday, February 15, 2021 with his loving daughter by his side. He grew up in Lakeland and attended Solvay High School. He was an Army veteran. Ron retired after 45 years with Crucible Steel and was an active union member and steward of the United Steelworkers. An avid conservationist, he enjoyed fishing and hunting and had a never-ending search for the biggest buck in the woods. Ron spent his time volunteering with the Orchard Game Club, Elbridge Rod and Gun Club and Onondaga County Federation of Sportsmen. Ron was a loving, charismatic grandfather who adored spending time with his grandchildren.
Ron was predeceased by his loving wife of 38 years, Nancy, in 2005; brothers, Phillip and Kenneth Rosen; sister-in-law, Gail Rosen; and son-in-law, John Cowher.
Surviving are his daughters, Cynthia Cowher of Solvay, Sally (Charles) Struble of Pennellville and Julie (David) Rosen of Baldwinsville; son, John (Joanne) Wise of Lakeland; brother, Daniel (Lynne) Rosen of Albany; sister-in-law, Constance Rosen of Greenville; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, February 19 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Face coverings are required.
