Ronald "Jake" Sensenich Sr., 77, of Camillus, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at James Square Health & Rehabilitation Centre. Born and raised in Irwin, PA, he lived in Camillus since 1961. He graduated from North Huntingdon High School in 1956 and received his bachelor's degree from Delaware Valley in 1961. Ron worked for the Railroad Inspection Agency and retired in 1999 as a custodian with the Fayetteville-Manlius Central School District and previously with West Genesee School District. An avid golfer, he was named Camillus Country Club champion in 1979. Ron enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, and was very patriotic and a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He was a member of the Camillus Elks Lodge. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, the former Maureen Gullen; son, Jake (Amy) Sensenich Jr. of Lakeland; daughters, Paulette (Michael) Gardner of Solvay and Ann Marie Sensenich (Brian) of Oswego; and six grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call Thursday, August 28 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
