Ronald F. Brooks

Ronald F. Brooks, 64, of Daytona Beach, FL and formerly of Syracuse passed away Sunday, April 3 at Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach. A graduate of East Syracuse Minoa High School, he was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area before moving to Daytona Beach in 2000. Ron enjoyed spending time at the beach and going to Turning Stone Casino, but above all loved spending time with his family. Surviving are his girlfriend, Martha Thurston, of Daytona Beach; son, Ronald F. II (Kareen) of Syracuse; daughter, Donna (Stan Zelias) of Memphis; sister, Cindy Brooks-Ficcaro of Eastwood; brothers, Donald (Cheryl) of Baldwinsville and Richard (Melinda) of Minoa; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Thursday, April 14 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
