Ronald J. Dippolito, 88, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Friday at Iroquois Nursing Home. Born in Cortland, he lived in the Camillus-Fairmount area for most of his life. Ronald was a U.S. Army veteran and played the clarinet in the Army’s band. He was employed with Merchants National Bank for 35 years, then Solvay Bank for over five years before retiring. A communicant of Holy Family Church, Ronald was a loyal and dedicated NY Yankees and NY Giants fan. He lived his life in the spirit of Frank Sinatra, his way.
Ronald is predeceased by his parents, John and Concetta Dippolito.
Surviving are his wife of 68 years, the former Judith Johnson; daughter, Karen (Brad) Moak of Loudon, TN; sons, Steven (Lisa) Dippolito of Liverpool, and Scott (Linda) Dippolito of Salisbury, NC; grandchildren, Tana, Zachary, Marlee, Gregory, and Jessica; eight great-grandchildren; and brother, James (Audrey) Dippolito of Cortland.
Funeral services will be private.
Ronald will be laid to rest in Our Lady of Peace Catholic Cemetery, Baldwinsville.
