Ronald A. Murray

February 3, 1934 — November 21, 2013

Ronald A. Murray, 79, of North Syracuse, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he attended Onondaga Valley Academy. Ron retired in 1994 after 30 years with Carpenters Union Local 12. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed singing, dancing and listening to music. Ron was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Alice; and brothers, Raymond C. Jr. and James R. Murray. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, the former Arlene Sartwell; daughter, Donna J. Marsh of Royal Palm Beach, FL; sons, David (Cecile) Murray of Meridian and Wayne Murray of Camillus; sisters, Shirley Vicaire of Syracuse, Marilyn Mackey of Tully and Melanie Allen of Warners; grandsons, David Thompson, Daniel (Stephanie) Thompson and Jonathon (Heather) Thompson; and great-granddaughters, Sophia Alysse and Eva Rose. Relatives and friends may call Saturday, November 23 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Private burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ronald's memory to the Alzheimer's Association of CNY, 441 W. Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13204.
